For the woman holding everything together and running on empty: a long weekend to put it all down, as the countryside turns green.
Fall 2027
Back to Herself
Dates & location to be announced
For the woman who needs a few days away to breathe again: a slow, warm weekend to land after the summer and the rentrée.
From 950 € per person · 3 nights in a private room with your own bathroom, all meals and all activities included
An invitation to just be
You don't need more advice, or another thing to optimize.
Back to Herself is a gentle, restorative retreat for women who give to everyone, all the time, and have barely any time left for themselves. Women who want to feel like themselves again, not just the mom, partner and manager of everything.
Over four slow days, you're guided into rest and reflection, with no pressure to perform and absolutely zero expectation. Everything is planned for you, from the yoga to the meals, so you can finally breathe without being needed.

What a weekend holds
Four days, held from start to finish
Yoga & meditation
Five classes, energizing in the morning and restorative in the evening, plus breathwork and Yoga Nidra. All levels, pregnancy included. Presence over performance.
Writing
Journaling workshops and an introduction to Morning Pages, to untangle your thoughts and take a practice home with you.
Nourishing food
Homemade vegetarian meals cooked on-site by a private chef, seasonal and local, shared around one table. You will not leave hungry.
Real rest
Spacious free time to read, swim, nap or walk, fireside conversations, and a private bedroom for truly restful nights.
Each edition also welcomes a guest: in fall 2026, the ceramic artist Cécile Mestelan led CAREMICS, a handbuilding workshop with clay.
The rhythm of a day
Slow mornings, soft evenings
Morning
A light breakfast, then a grounding two-hour yoga practice.
Late morning
A long, nourishing brunch around the table.
Afternoon
Free time to read, rest and swim, or a writing or creative workshop.
Early evening
Restorative yoga or Yoga Nidra, mostly lying down.
Night
A family-style dinner, then the fire, the stars and an early night.
The full day-by-day program is shared with each edition's dates.
What you leave with
Steadier, clearer, more yourself
In your body
Rest
A calmer nervous system, less tension and bracing, and a felt sense of safety in your own body.
In your mind
Clarity
Quiet instead of constant noise, space to sort through what you feel, and relief from carrying everything alone.
In yourself
Reconnection
A sense of who you are beneath the roles, and the quiet confidence of having chosen yourself.
Supported, but never crowded. Held, but never pushed.
Is this retreat for you?
It is, if
- you feel emotionally depleted or constantly "on"
- you miss yourself, but can't name what's missing
- you crave rest more than answers
- you feel guilty needing time away
- you want reflection without pressure to share
It may not be, if
- you want a packed, high-energy schedule
- you're seeking intense emotional processing
- you want someone to tell you what to do with your life
- you're looking for a quick, dramatic transformation
- you're not open to slowness and quiet

Where we've gathered
The 2026 retreats took place at Monte das Casolas, a quiet eco-estate in an oak forest in Alentejo.

In their words
★★★★★
"It was wonderful; exactly what I needed. The location was beautiful and serene... The group size was perfect to allow for some alone time but not feeling lonely. The yoga was perfectly balanced and the sequence of the sessions seemed incredibly intentional. The food was also fantastic. It really was the perfect weekend, I just wish we had one more day."

"What a wonderful experience! This yoga retreat exceeded expectations. It was the perfect opportunity to relax, recharge, and connect with an amazing group. We all bonded so naturally, thanks to Pauline. She put together a thoughtful program and created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the entire experience special."
Leonora · Back to Herself retreat

Bonjour !
I'm Pauline, your host
A yoga and meditation teacher (RYT-500), a writer, and a mom of two whom I love deeply and sometimes also need a break from.
After a first career in retail tech between New York and Los Angeles, I moved to Lisbon with my family in 2023. Since then I've taught weekly classes in Lisbon and led a dozen retreats in Portugal for international groups of women.
I host every Back to Herself retreat myself, from the first circle to the last brunch.
Your questions, answered
Do I need yoga experience?
No. The retreat is accessible to all levels, and I truly mean that. I adapt every class to whoever is in the room and offer modifications for your unique body. The movement is gentle and optional, and resting is always welcome. Many women discover yoga on a retreat, and it's a wonderful introduction.
Will I be expected to share in a group?
No. Sharing is never required, always optional.
Is this therapy or trauma work?
No. The retreat focuses on rest, slow movement, reflection and nervous system regulation, not deep processing.
What if I feel guilty leaving my family or work?
That feeling is common, and welcome here. Many women arrive with guilt and leave with clarity and compassion for themselves. Only when we tend to ourselves can we lovingly tend to others.
Will there be enough to eat?
Oh yes! On my first retreat as a guest I packed snacks and chocolate, and never opened them. Meals are generous, homemade and delicious, and specific dietary needs can be accommodated if you let me know ahead of time.
Is it too "woo-woo" for me?
We chant one OM at the start of class, and that's about it. My approach to yoga is accessible and open to all: grounding and inclusive, never dogmatic or devotional.
Can I come with a friend or partner?
Yes, of course. Let me know when you sign up so we can arrange the rooms accordingly.
