A 6-week online program by Voilà Yoga
The In-Between
A 6-week home retreat for women in transition.
"I am rooted, but I flow."
Virginia Woolf
Maybe this is you
No longer who you used to be, and not yet who you're becoming.
Maybe it's a baby, or a move to a new place, or a job that no longer feels aligned: something shifted and you're now standing between two chapters.
Life transitions rarely happen only one at a time; in fact, they are often layered. You might be becoming a mom, leaving a career and rebuilding a social world all within the same year.
You're not in crisis, but you're not quite yourself either.
Welcome to the in-between.
"The messy middle is all about what happens when we're in the state of in between. It involves a complicated alchemy of giving up old ways and experimenting with new ones, moving beyond what's past and beginning to define what's coming. In butterfly-speak, it's cocooning; in hero-speak, it's getting lost."
Bruce Feiler, Life Is in the Transitions
Who this is for
You're a woman between 35 and 55 years old. You're educated, internationally minded, and you've spent most of your adult life being highly competent.
You are far from fragile, but you've recently started to feel the weight of life transitions, often several at once:
Matrescence and motherhood
the profound identity shift of becoming a mother
Career change or career pause
leaving a professional identity, or not yet knowing what comes next
Relocation
rebuilding a social world from scratch in a new city or country
Midlife and meaning
the persistent question in the back of your head: is that it? Is this the life I actually want?
Perimenopause
changes your body is navigating largely without language or community
What you're dreading: crystals, woo-woo wellness content and spiritual bypassing.
What you're craving: a rigorous, warm, human, and honest method to actually move the needle.
What it is
A retreat, but at home.
The In-Between is a 6-week online program for women navigating life transitions.
It is embodiment-first: you move your way through change, using yoga, meditation and writing, alongside a group of women navigating similar situations.
This is not therapy, and it is not coaching. It is a practice space for integration: a place to inhabit the woman you are becoming, not just analyse her or push her forward.
No to-do's, no homework. A space to simply be.
Four pillars, one practice
Yoga
Gentle, intentional, alignment-based movement to come home to your body. Breath and presence. No performative poses, and yes, it's okay if you are not flexible :)
Meditation
Accessible, doable practices to quiet the noise and be with yourself again. Built for people who think they cannot meditate.
Writing
Guided prompts and direction during live writing circles to help you put words on what's shifting. You don't need to be a writer, only to be honest on the page.
Community
A circle of 8 women in their own in-betweens, non-judgemental, kind and benevolent.
"I write entirely to find out what I'm thinking, what I'm looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear."
Joan Didion
The arc of the six weeks
Most transitions are non-linear, and so is this program.
Divided into 3 phases, of 2 weeks each, the pace is intentionally slow so your nervous system can follow. Each week follows a theme that we use throughout all practices.
Phase 1
Ground
Weeks 1 & 2
Arriving and slowing down. During the first 2 weeks, we build the foundations of practice and safety in the body and in the mind.
I AM ROOTED.
Phase 2
Soften
Weeks 3 & 4
Loosening the grip. Through movement, writing, and shared reflection, we make room for what's true right now, messy parts included.
I AM HERE.
Phase 3
Emerge
Weeks 5 & 6
Turning toward what's next. Gathering who you've been and who you're becoming into one woman who can hold both.
I FLOW.
What each week brings
A live online writing circle
One hour, to write on the weekly theme, to actually take the time to journal and dump everything on paper, to get it out of your system and onto the page.
A yoga practice
A 30-minute recorded sequence, shaped around the week's theme, to practice when your life allows, and as often as you like.
A guided meditation
Short and doable, related to each week's theme. Twenty minutes to tune in to yourself, even if you are not a meditator.
Morning Pages
Based on Julia Cameron's book The Artist's Way, an invitation to start a practice of Morning Pages.

Who's holding the space
I built this program because I needed it a few years ago.
Bonjour! I'm Pauline. After 12 years in tech in New York and Los Angeles, I traded it all for a slower, more intentional life in Portugal with my family.
New country, new language, from corporate to independent, on top of motherhood: this transition at 37 was so layered it took me by surprise. I know the in-between from the inside!
While I lived in the messy middle, what helped me the most was yoga, meditation and writing, and back then I wished I had a structured program to follow for guidance and accountability.
Today, I bring together those transformational practices to help you move through your own transitions, in community.
I've been teaching yoga since 2016 (RYT-500), and I lead classes and retreats in Portugal.
The In-Between was born after conversations with dozens of students and women in transition, as an extension to a retreat, as a held, consistent and structured container, somewhere you can show up as you are and start moving through the layers.

Your legitimate doubts, my honest answers
"I don't have time for this."
The most honest objection! The program asks for 60 live minutes a week, plus whatever time you choose to spend with the recorded practices. The question is not whether you have those 2 hours every week, but what they are being used for right now.
"It feels indulgent to spend money on myself."
The guilt is rarely about the money. It's about the belief that your interior life matters less than everyone around you. Women who feel rooted in themselves are better partners, parents, and human beings: this investment pays outward as much as inward.
"I'm already in therapy. Do I need this too?"
This is a totally different container. Therapy is one-to-one and often focused on the past; this program is embodied, relational, and group-based, and replaces neither therapy nor coaching. Many women do both, and the two complement each other well.
"I'm not a writer."
You do not need to be a writer, you only need to write :) I don't read your papers, there are absolutely no grades and no expectations of literary quality. The practice is about noticing what is true in the moment, and releasing it on the page so it can live outside your own head.
"I'm not sure I'll find my people in the group."
The group is intentionally small: maximum 8 women, all at a similar stage of life. You may not become best friends with everyone, but you will very likely find one or two women you'll truly connect with.
"I've never done yoga and I'm not flexible at all. Can I still join?"
Absolutely. If you can breathe, then you can practice yoga with me! It's accessible to all levels, modifications are always suggested, and you might even become more flexible :)
"I'm in the middle of a difficult time. Is this the right moment?"
If you're in an acute crisis, this cannot replace the right support. But if you're feeling lost, stretched, unlike yourself, quietly exhausted: that is exactly the territory this was designed for.
