Awakening to the new
Imagine, as if a bear, you’d been hibernating all winter. And now that Spring is here, you were awakening to an entirely new reality. World affairs are moving so quickly these days that upon waking up each day it feels to me like I’ve been asleep for a few months.
Are you feeling the same ? Are you “ready for anything”? If you live in Europe, have you prepared your 72-hour emergency kit ?
Even though the world is in shambles, Spring is here. And with it, the promise of more light, longer days and brand new buds.
In troubled times, in addition to consuming mindfully, boycotting billionaires and coming together in community, we must continue to cultivate joy and awareness of the present moment. Now more than ever, since no one knows what new reality tomorrow may bring, we must enjoy today. It’s all we ever have anyway !
Such a good poem to change the narrative and embrace challenges - when I read it to myself I replace God with The Universe.

A FEW THINGS I ENJOYED LATELY
Rick Rubin’s interview of author Brianna Wiest. I did not know of her before listening to this and found her incredibly touching. You can feel her sensitivity in the tone of her voice, and I simply love honest conversations about the creative process, especially of writers. A lot of it reminded me of Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert.
Upon listening to her interview, I was curious about her most popular book, The mountain is you, mostly because I find the title very catchy. I’m half-way through it now and although I can’t say it’s revolutionary (it feels more like a mix of existing self-help theories), but it is pretty motivational.

I’m usually not the biggest fan of Huberman Lab but this episode is a gold mine for specifics of women’s nutrition and the best ways to workout for longevity based on age. I learned so much about protein intake & strength training. You can watch it here.

We will explore the concept of coming out of the darkness of Winter and stepping into the light of Spring, practicing the transition from forward bends to backbends and learn invigorating breathing techniques.
